Brought a scooter cheap with a 500w rear motor, but it only has a 450w controller. Does that mean it will only ever make 450w ?
I see scooters advertised as having say 500w motor with 800w peak. Do they have a 800w controller or just a 500w controller ?
The controller output is measured in amperage, not wattage. Peak means the controller can output a higher amperage (resulting in a higher wattage) for a short period (under hard acceleration) without overheating/damage.
Thanks for info.
My controller only has 450Watts not amps printed on it. So I guess it outputs around 9.5 amps
Could I put an advertised 750w controller to my 500w motor tho ?
