Hi, I currently have a Warrior X and have been driving it in to work 6 miles each way with a slight hill most of the way. I drive on semi-busy roads so I accelerate frequently and reach top speed (43mph max that I’ve seen) frequently. When I come home it is always flashing that the battery will die soon, which isn’t ideal. I just keep waiting for it to die on me before I get home…
I’ve decided I want a bigger scooter. One with a higher top speed so I can match the flow of traffic all the way to work, and one with better distance so I don’t feel like I’m sliding in to home on empty. Cheaper is better(3-4k), but I might be able to swing in the 4-5k range. I also haven’t loved the trigger on the X. It seems like it’s either On or not on, very hard to get a slight increase of power. Also if I drop acceleration completely and then go back to full throttle it frequently does a hard hit on the motor giving me a jarring slow before it accelerates. It would be nice to get a scooter with better control in the mid-range of power. I do love the acceleration on the Warrior X though and wouldn’t mind more of that 😛 I have had occasion to put my X in the back seat of a sedan, so maintaining that option of portability would be great, though not necessarily a need (I do have a van).
I’ve Been considering the King GT Pro, but know there are other great options out there. I love the off-road ability of the Warriors and I love the safety features of them (bright lights, dual stem, loud horn etc), but I don’t have much experience or knowledge of scooters in this faster/bigger range. I’m very safety conscious (I have kids and don’t want to get in any major accidents), so I worry about moving away from the dual stem, though I don’t have any experience with single stems in the dual motor, high speed range.
Any thoughts/suggestions?
