Willem7 I been riding motorized scooters for 21 years and I always tell people the same thing.
Expect to break your first scooter in under a month. second under 3 months.
So first one I do not suggest spending over $500-800 (Segway) Because no one wrecks a $2,000 scooter and gets out of the hospital to buy another one.
Wrecking a $500 scooter hurts the wallet, $1000 scrapes and bruises…$2000+ and my broken foot is still healing.
Keep in mind your ability to ride is not the factor here… its the ability of drivers to recognize your not kicking your scooter and going over 20 MPH.
