Error Message 50-Voltage too high

Does anyone know what error message 50 - Voltage too high means? This just started coming on and once it comes on I need to turn it off and turn it back on. I notice it comes on almost every time I break suddenly. The message comes on sometimes within minutes of me starting to use the scooter. It doesn’t even have time to get warm. Has this happen to anyone else and how do I fix? I left a ticket with Customer and Haven’t heard back. No representatives are answering calls.

Turn off your regen braking.

I agree with 2muchcoffee, If your just starting out and particularly your going downhill it may generate an over voltage.
Try charging your scooter to 90 or 95% of full charge rather than full as a test and see if this error re-occurs.. That is better for your overall battery cycle life anyway.

I just realized that you can’t turn it off. It’s literally the only brakes on that thing. It’s a cheapo scooter with only electronic brakes, lol.

Thank for the feedback. I guess I’m basically out of the $$ or continue to ride it and keep turning it off and on. Any suggestions on a better quality and more relegable? The most frustrating part is Hover-1 support is not answering.

tattooleo70 I suspect it most likely will only happen if you brake hard with the battery full.
You could always ride it normally, but be gentle when braking until you run the battery down a bit.

Thank for your help. However, even with the battery at 2 bars the scooter still gives me the Error Code and it’s turning off when the scooter is idled. Only thing that work is if I disconnect the battery and reconnect it. Any other ideas or recommendations would be appreciated.
