Newish scooter rider with a few questions for the more experienced Vsett and other scooter owners out there.
Will it hurt anything by me lowering the P Setting for tire size on my 10+ from 10 down to 8.9? The reason I ask is because with that setting my MPH is perfect and matches all other ways I can measure it such as apps, GPS, and the street sign ones near schools. Also will this also help with getting the correct mileage for rides? For example my average ride is about 20 miles on the display, but is actually about 17 on apps.
2) My other question is about range. I have the 10+ and weigh about 240. Here is a list of my last 6 rides and their corresponding mileage and volts left after stopping. Does this seem about right to you?
14.5 miles on display (12.21 in app) 59.1v left
23.9 miles on display (20.45 in app) 57.3v left.
18.0 miles on display (15.53 in app) 58.3v left.
12.7 miles on display (10.84 in app) 58.5v left.
21.4 miles on display (18.22 in app) 57.0v left.
20.0 miles on display (17.81 in app) 57.3v left.
3) The last question is about other battery options. I havent done a lot of research but one battery option I did find is the Sky Art Power one. Its a 35ah 16s7p 21700 with Samsung 50e cells. 2352wh at full charge, and its $1450. Has anyone here went that route? In my case its only about $400 less than the price of the scooter itself so Id have to be completely sure its worth it to spend that much. Claims are 20% increase in range and some speed increase to to less sag.
Other than the range I LOVE this scooter. I think I spoiled myself by having an Emove Cruiser before this scooter, so maybe I should just leave it as is.
UPDATE: After having a good chat with the owner at Sky Art power batteries about his battery and the Vsett 10+ I got more info. His estimated 20% increase was based on him going from his stock 28ah battery to his home made 35ah battery. So the estimated increase for the 20.8ah would be quite a bit more. But what I did find out is that even at my longest ride that was 23.9 miles on display (20.45 in app) with 57.3v left I still had a lot of juice according to him. Like I said Im pretty new to this so I am still learning. And I was pretty bummed out when after less than an hour I assumed I should start my trip back. But I was basing that on worrying that under load that 57v would drop to a point where the scooter would shut down. But it seems I was way off. Anyway thanks to anyone reading and / or replying.
