Introducing your ride and why is it good or bad

Apollo Ghost. With my limited experience and under 30 miles so far:

Pros:
Fast.
Smooth.
Cable operated brakes work fine to me.
Under deck lights look sexy at night.
Nice high handlebars. I’m 5′10″ and 200 pounds.

Cons:
Chasing a weird creaking noise. Its not from the stem.
Finger throttle never fully tightens.
Ignition key feels cheap.
Free handle bad doesn’t fit because of the wires. No biggie, just dumb.

Improvements added by me:
Nice bicycle light added to handlebars.
Bushwacker bottle holder added to bars.
Seatylock for security mounted low on the stem stalk.
Middle row clear grip tape added.
Hafny left side rear view mirror.

Haven’t had to use customer service yet but I did keep the box like Apollo recommends.
Rarely take the Ghost out of Eco mode so I’m not sure of the real range yet.
Using a BR200 STIHL backpack blower book bag.
Need a better helmet. Currently have a Nutcase Cats In Space helmet.

sc00ter I hate to break it to you but Apollo support sucks there are a lot of Apollo scooter owners here and many of them have bad experiences like @PaulN @Cattitude

sc00ter I was having a really weird creak noise too on my Inokim Ox. I looked everywhere. I checked the deck, the front and rear suspension and then at around 50 miles, the creak stopped. Maybe it just needs a little more time to fully settle?

I hear that about every scooter company! I hope to never need customer support. I know 2 people personally who have never had a problem with their Appllos, hence reason for buying that brand. So depending how this Apollo does will dictate my next purchase when ready to upgrade. And trust me, I’ll post my bad experiences as well!

Zero 10X 260 Limited Edition

Pros:
Great look, especially those tire hugger tire guard.
Quick acceleration, have not tested the top speed but can go over 50km/h with ease (80kg rider). Thumb throttle works like butter
Great suspension (air rear + spring hydraulic front), ride quality is top notch. Can handle any road surface you throw at it
Nice colored display, easy to read under daylight & at night
The LED light under the deck is very bright at night. Turns heads and keep you visible with no problem.
Easy to use controls, especially the single wheel / dual wheel switch.
Reasonably priced

Cons:
The external battery case may help you ride longer, but looks kind of cumbersome hanging on the stem. May affect the agility because more effort is needed to turn.
Although the under carriage LED is cool, a proper headlight & a turn signal option would make it much better
The kick stand needs to be reinforced or replaced with a stronger one… It is struggling with the weight of the scooter. The location is also quite awkward (on the real swingarm rather than under the deck).
Cabel management is problematic, some areas of the cabels are rubbing against sharp metal edges causing wears already after the first week of ridding it.

ItsAqua I’ve never noticed any voltage drop on my 9R, regardless of what the scooter is doing, aside from occasional voltage increase with regen. To be fair, with my 200lbs, my top speed on flat ground is around 28 mph anyways 😆 , so it could be happening and I just never noticed.
Also, I’m surprised to hear the deck is being troublesome… I’ve never had issues sliding, even in rain. 🤷‍♂️

JacobHorton yea I’m getting grip tape for that almost slid off the scooter smaller rider so that’s probably why

Timotis That’s one hell of a beast scooter. It does look like it wouldn’t handle rough roads though, which scares me, considering the speeds it will do lol.

2muchcoffee4me Actually havent even tried it on ‘rough’ roads, and never on dirt roads or tracks. Its does very very well on good smooth roads. The suspension is pretty good, but limited compared to say a Nami Burn E or something. The wepend is made for roads…. Power and acceleration is really just stupid

I have an Inokim Ox and it’s a super smooth ride, but I feel like I made a mistake not getting a dual motor scooter. I’d love a little more speed for street riding and a little more distance because it’s so much fun to go on long rides. I’m in my first 30 days of ownership, but I’m not sure how to go about returning a scooter with 50+ miles on it to the manufacturer. Any advice would be appreciated.

Pros - smooth ride, nice big deck, decent distance at around 25 miles
Cons- single 1000w motor, max speed of 31 mph when batter is over 90% charged

I’ve had it for 2 years now. I originally bought it for fun, but it became my commuter for a downtown job I had for 9 months. Despite having a newer bigger better faster scooter, this one is still my go-to scooter for stuff like meeting people for coffee or running to the store to pickup something quickly. It really shines in the chaos of the city.

Pros:
-350W motor punches well above it’s weight
-Cruises at 33km/h
-Solid rear & air front = never had a flat
-Insanely maneuverable, perfect for navigating a busy city
-Only weighs 18kg & tucks away under my desk at work
-Blends in with bikes at lockup racks with the stem lowered, thieves seem to leave it alone
-Bullet proof reliable
-Ease of use factor is through the roof

Cons:
-Can be a harsh ride at times with a rear solid tire
-LG 36V 10.4Ah battery only delivers 15 to 20km in range with spirited riding
-No signal lights or anti-theft features
-Front brakes? lol
-Typical rear fender rattle/cracking woes
-Stem can lock-in slightly skewed if you don’t hold it perfectly straight while you lock the clamp

Gotrax XR (i ordered GXL V2 but i got the XR) and have 1000-1500 km per season on it (so, maybe getting to 3000 km total after 2 years).

Pro:

Light
fits everywhere it needs to
survived 2 years with me
long charge time to preserve battery life
was the cheapest scooter that is more than a gimmick
survived rain (multiple times, and up to 45 minutes)
-10°C not a big deal except a bit lower range (i wonder why…)

Cons:

Pinch flats (changed tyres to honeycomb and need new ones soon)
low range (8km tops now)
low capacity
250W just does not cut it
Stem not super straight, but fine
rear plastic fender now broke off after two years (no hook anymore)
breaks were always weak
no way you could ride with snow

In summary: Do not regret it, very good entry purchase, but next scooter needs 3x the range so that i don´t need a pitstop in the office if i want to grab doughnuts or go to a store (cities are just sprawling messes here, so the scooter really helps).
